Licensure Status

Illinois requires licensure for radiologic technologists and recognizes ARRT credentials in the licensing process; the state issues modality specific licenses and defines supervision and practice standards.

Regulatory Agency

Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Division of Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection administers radiologic technologist licensing and equipment oversight; application forms and contacts are on the IEMA site.
