Biomedical Imaging and Intervention Journal (biij) is a multidisciplinary open access online journal. biij was set up to meet the challenges of biomedical imaging and intervention facing the allied sciences community by providing a new avenue for discussion and exchange of viewpoints. The main objective of biij is to provide free online access to all our scientific materials in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative. biij plans to remove unnecessary barriers that inhibit the sharing of scientific knowledge and information to accelerate research, enrich education and share the learning process. biij also aims to make full use of the Internet in disseminating scientific information by making available a large stock of materials with full multimedia features, including presentations made at selected scientific meetings and to shape the future direction of the journal through shared ownership by the scholarly community, thus enabling them to share their research publications with others.
